Artist's Description
The "Cosmic Campground" is an actual place near the Gila National Forest in western New Mexico. It was designated a Dark Sky Sanctuary by the International Dark-Sky Association (IDA) in 2016. This made the "Cosmic Campground" only the second location in the world to receive this designation. The other is in the Elqui Valley of northern Chile.
